Who is Rosie Lee Wilkins? Piecing Together Her History’ Exhibit  

In her lifetime, Rosie created over 100 quilts and unfortunately, her story was left unfinished. Along with highlighting some of her quilts—which are only a part of her legacy—visitors to the exhibit will get a behind the scenes look at how the museum staff worked to research and piece together the history of Rosie’s life. www.lakeshoremuseum.org 231-722-0278

Hike the Lights – Naturally Socially Distanced

5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Michigan’s source for winter fun, the Muskegon Luge & Adventure Sports Park located at 462 Scenic Drive is having their trail lights on each night for you to hike, run, skip, or walk on your hands! Stay healthy with fresh air and social distance. The lodge will not be open at this time. There is a restroom at the east end of the parking lot. Dogs are welcome on a 6’ leash please. www.msports.org

Show Us Your Shanty

Pigeon Hill Brewing is having a party and YOUR ice shanty is invited!

Itching to go fishing but there’s no ice? Practice setting up your ice shanty in the The Brewer’s Lounge at Pigeon Hill parking lot located at 895 Fourth St., and make a fun filled afternoon of  being outdoors with friends and family.

They’ll be serving beer and Righteous Cuisine food truck will be on site serving delicious burritos, nachos and tacos from 12-5! To participate, RSVP by Thursday, January 7th. All participants will be emailed on Friday, January 8th with instructions for set up. Each Ice Shanty is limited to 6 people max and masks must be worn at all times except when in your ice shanty. Lakeshore Museum Center Second Saturdays

January 9 @ 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Join Lakeshore Museum Center located at 430 W. Clay as they open their doors the second Saturday of the month for guests to enjoy all the  museum has to offer! The STEM Center will be open by registration for 30-minute time slots, and the hands-on Science Center will be open throughout the afternoon. Scavenger hunt sheets will be available and kids will receive a take-and-make activity related to one of the exhibits to complete at home. Masks  are required to enter the museum.
